I wanted tog et the salon to dye over my hair…its a reddish color was dark burgundy buit faded in like 2 washings to light red…I want it dark burgundy with highlights but I guess even if the salon did it it’s still gonna fade fast and look not too good……so what other color could I have them put on it I do want highlights in it but unsure what base color to get??/
I think you should go for medium brown with lighter brown highlights, or try a darker brown with a deep red highlights.
They shouldn’t be fading after two washes, either, that means that the salon is NOT doing it right.
you red shouldnt fade that fast. Red is known to be the color hardest to keep but it should last at least 3-4 weeks. I would suggest keeping the red, maybe giving it more of a brown under tone and using a sulfate free shampoo or color saving shampoo.
